Troop 285 is a youth-led organization that meets on Monday nights from 7:00PM until 8:30PM.

 

• PLC meetings are on the next to last Monday of every month at 6:00PM (subject to change, see calendar) 

• Committee meetings are on the last Monday of every month at 6:00PM (subject to change, see calendar)

 

We camp or participate in outdoor activities nearly every month, some of which include swimming, hiking, Camporee, ScoutBase, and summer camp at Kia Kima Scout Reservation. Our Troop also plans a high-adventure outing, or "Super Trip", every 3 years that may include, but is not limited to, Northern Tier, Florida Sea Base, Philmont Scout Ranch, or The Summit Bechtel Reserve.

Troop 285 is also heavily involved in the community, participating in Scouting for Food to support our local food pantry, the 4th of July "Flag City Freedom Celebration", and the Meritan "Midnight Bike Tour", just to name a few.

 

Several members of our Troop, both youth and adult, are members of the Order of the Arrow, the BSA's national honor society. Many of these Arrowmen are active in our local lodge, Ahoalan-Nachpikin 558.
